Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

Newsboy caps, also known as the flat cap, date back to pre World War 1.
Traditionally worn by men and historically associated with the working class.  They were very popular in Europe and the US.  I came across these pictures and thought...if these caps could talk, they'd have a story to tell.

A strike occured in 1899 because publishers wouldn't buy back unsold papers.  These boys were making, at the most, 30 cents a day!!

Iceberg Fall 2010

It's Fall 2010 and newsboy caps are still trendy!  Iceberg's menswear collection is a great look for the season.  The best part of Fall fashion is that you can wear layer after layer of clothing.  Scarfs, vests, and jackets can give your overall look more depth compared to a simple look for the summer.  And to top off the entire look...wear a newsboy cap!

Good news is that these caps are for women to.  I own a few myself, one being a Kangol that was a gift to me when I was in San Diego,CA.  It fits perfectly and keeps my head nice and warm.  Plus, Kangols come in many different colors and fabrics.   Best fabrics for Fall are wool, tweed, leather, and suede.
