Julia Clancey presents "Sensually Sorbet" Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the Pali House in West Hollywood. The runway was setup like a wonderland garden. There were butterflies, sparkling teapots, flowers, lily pads, croquet balls and mallets. The suggested attire for the invitees were garden party frocks for the ladies and striped blazers for the men. I wore a teal dress that was close to a frock, but not quite one. Out of the hundred dresses I own, why don't I own a frock?! I was a bit skeptical about my dress right before walking into the reception, but forgot about it once I started drinking the complimentary sparkling wine :)...of course! After a couple of hours enjoying the wine and mingling, we all transitioned to the rooftop for the show.
The collection consisted of pastel colors; cream, yellow, orange, lavender, and blue. The fabrics were flowy and designed with beads, jewels, and sequins. It was a beautiful collection that had a magical touch. Below is a glimpse of Spring/Summer 2011 fabrics and colors.
