Happy Holiday's in Wyoming

So Mitch and I are back in Riverton, Wyoming and this time for the holidays. Besides trying to keep warm in 6 below degree weather, (Mitch helped ;)) we were greeted by a WHITE CHRISTMAS!! Family holiday parties, homemade dinners, and even a trip to Boysen Reservoir for 3 chilly days of ice fishing, kept us busy ..

Freezing cold weather is not something I am accustomed to so it was a bit painful at first and being from Texas didn't help either!  Thank you to the Mitchell family for putting up with us for a total of 2 WEEKS!  I'm going to miss the homemade meals and delicious treats, which reminds me... I need to hit the gym when I get back to LA (sigh).

Christmas Day...
A White Christmas

7am early morning...time to feed the farm animals

Fresh flowers

Yummy pumpkin praline cake!

Goodness

Real dried orange ornaments decorate the country Christmas tree.

Homemade candy in mason jars.

And a tasty prime rib.

Glittery nails for the holidays make the girls smile.

My white elephant Christmas gift.  Flowers would look beautiful in this country milk can.   I was lucky I didn't get stuck with the cheesy romantic books.

Ice Fishing on Boysen Lake Reservoir...

Without these insulated snow boots, my toes would fall off.

Fishing hole

Early morning...time to check the holes.

Last day of our fishing trip.  The snow was stamped with love.

That praline cake looks friggen delicious!

Oh, and I wanna go ice fishing only because Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon did it in "Grumpy Old Men." ;P
