Happy Holiday's in Wyoming

So Mitch and I are back in Riverton, Wyoming and this time for the holidays. Besides trying to keep warm in 6 below degree weather, (Mitch helped ;)) we were greeted by a WHITE CHRISTMAS!! Family holiday parties, homemade dinners, and even a trip to Boysen Reservoir for 3 chilly days of ice fishing, kept us busy ..

Freezing cold weather is not something I am accustomed to so it was a bit painful at first and being from Texas didn't help either!  Thank you to the Mitchell family for putting up with us for a total of 2 WEEKS!  I'm going to miss the homemade meals and delicious treats, which reminds me... I need to hit the gym when I get back to LA (sigh).

Christmas Day...
A White Christmas

7am early morning...time to feed the farm animals

Fresh flowers

Yummy pumpkin praline cake!

Goodness

Real dried orange ornaments decorate the country Christmas tree.

Homemade candy in mason jars.

And a tasty prime rib.

Glittery nails for the holidays make the girls smile.

My white elephant Christmas gift.  Flowers would look beautiful in this country milk can.   I was lucky I didn't get stuck with the cheesy romantic books.

Ice Fishing on Boysen Lake Reservoir...

Without these insulated snow boots, my toes would fall off.

Fishing hole

Early morning...time to check the holes.

Last day of our fishing trip.  The snow was stamped with love.

Halloween West Hollywood Style

On October 31, 2010 nearly half a million people parade down Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. I describe it as one of the most creative, outrageous Halloween celebrations in Los Angeles, CA. This year I decided last minute on a sassy harlequin costume.  Was it my first choice?  Not at all.  Originally, I wanted to be Cat Woman, but since I was missing my Batman, I decided to put it on hold until then.

Throughout the day I took plenty of photos.  Not as much as I wanted to, but enough until my camera battery went dead.  Below are just a few out of thousands of people who celebrated the holiday.

The Social Network
"Yes, we are all Facebook friends."

"Ha Ha Ha...He He He!"
"I know you are, but what am I?"

Tribal Chiefs
"Hi, my name is Big Mouth and this is my friend Black Beaver."

"I decided to look like my dog this year because she is one sexy poodle."
"I'm a voo-doo doll without the needles."

"We played, Where's Waldo, in elementary together."

"Two words...Tea Bag."

Ice Man
"Because I'm that cool."

Evil Fairy?
"I don't know what I am."

Penguin- Batman's Villain
"We both wear the pants at home."

"We like Jack in the Box sandwiches."

"Ughhh... I wish the Queen of hearts was a King."

"We love our 80's rock star look, but our latex pants are too tight!"

"I am waaaay hotter than Snookie!  Watch me flex my muscles."

"The less clothes we have to wear the better."

"I love my diamond harlequin shoes."

"I love petting poodles especially this one."

"I had nightmares about Freddy when I was young."

"I made these leaves out of felt."

"I'm Dexter, but people keep calling me a welder."

"We are hard working miners."

"We decided to dress up as sexy chefs. Funny thing is, neither one of us knows how to cook."

"I can kick your ass."

"I might wear my suit jacket again someday.  It took me 5 hrs to complete this look"

"I'm Katy Perry.  Don't you agree?"

"We were inspired by the Chilean miner story.  We stick together."

"We are sexy women tonight."

"I love the attention I am getting with this costume."

"We were enemies, but now we are dating."

"This is not my Halloween costume.  I look like this everyday."

"I think I look more like Carrot Top."

"An epic Halloween weekend."

"I'm Rambo, except I have no ammunition."

"Magazine editor by day ventriloquist by night"

Sassy Harlequin
"My favorite part of the costume were my diamond harlequin shoes.  I'll be wearing them again soon."

If you have any cool costume photos you want to share on CG Style that impressed you, email them to me.
